CINEFEST
Spotlight oversees Cinefest Film Theater, a 133-seat student-run movie theater in operation since 1991 that shows blockbuster movies, independent films, foreign films, documentaries, Atlanta premieres and cult classics completely FREE to students. General admission for non-GSU students is only $5 per person.
Cinefest features a concessions stand that sells popcorn, beverages, candy and snack items before and during movies.

Hours of Operation
Cinefest regularly shows movies Monday-Wednesday at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted on the upcoming movies schedule. Cinefest is available for rental by registered student organizations, departments and external clients during the remaining days and times.
Food and Beverages
Outside food or beverages are not permitted inside the theater. Popcorn, beverages, candy and snack items can be purchased from the theater concession stand prior to and during movie operations.

Looking for a special place to host a program? Whether it's a private screening, special event, film festival, charitable or corporate event or a party, any group will enjoy what Cinefest Film Theater has to offer, which is a comfortable, spacious, tiered 144-seat theater with state-of-the-art audio and video capabilities.
Top off the event with a private movie screening that will leave guests with something to talk about. The event can be customized to meet anyone’s needs.

- Georgia State University Departments $50/hr or $350/day
- External clients $100/hr or $500/day
*Day rate applies if the rental is 5-8 hours. If the rental is over 8 hrs, then the rental would be the daily rate in addition to hourly rates per each additional hour. Eg: 10-hour rental for a Georgia State University Student Organization would be $175(8 hrs) +$50(2 hrs)= $225(10 hrs)
Reserving the Theater
Registered student organizations, university departments and external clients can reserve the movie theater for special programs and events by using this request form.

Rules
- No outside food or beverages.
- No cell phone usage during showings.
- No photography or videoing allowed in the theater.
- Exercise proper hygiene (cover mouth while coughing, refrain from touching strangers, etc.).
- Do not be disruptive.
