LaTia Sinclair - Associate Director- Cultures, Communities and Inclusion (CCI)

LaTia Sinclair is a native of Queens, New York and has over 15 years of professional experience working in higher education. Ms. Sinclair earned a bachelor of science in sociology and a master of science in higher education and student affairs administration from the state university of New York College at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Her vast work experience spans across diverse institutions of higher education and various departments within Student Affairs. Institutions she has served include SUNY Buffalo State, Spelman College, Berkeley College and the Donald and Barbara School of Medicine at Hofstra University and Northwell Health System respectively.
Ms. Sinclair’s experience includes the supervision and management of residence halls, the development of a residential education program, creating a student success and supplemental instruction workshop series, facilitating mentoring programs for first year, first generation and minority students, advising multicultural student organizations, developing a men of color empowerment series and an annual women’s leadership conference and having oversight of all civic engagement where she developed strong partnerships with community agencies and non-profit organizations to increase student involvement with social justice and community service.
Ms. Sinclair’s attributes much of her success and inspiration to pursue a career in higher education to her undergraduate and graduate involvement as a student leader and positive mentoring relationships with administrators on campus. As a first-generation college student, Ms. Sinclair understands first-hand the importance of access, education, opportunity and advocacy. Outside of work, LaTia enjoys event planning, traveling, spending quality time with family and friends and serving her community as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Tonya Cook - Program Specialist

Ms. Tonya Cook is a native of Atlanta and a class of 1994 Georgia State University Alumnus with a bachelor of business administration in marketing and a master of science in human resources development also from Georgia State. During her tenure at Georgia State, she was actively involved on campus and served in many roles including charter member of Georgia State University Spotlight Programs Board, specifically women’s life and black life and culture, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Lambda Nu Chapter, Leadership Conclave, Student Government Association, Order of Omega and Black Student Alliance. An avid supporter of the arts, Ms. Cook has studied dance for 25 years of which ten were with Total Dance Company under the artistic direction of Terrie (Ajile) Axam. She is active in her community, which also includes the graduate chapter of her Zeta Phi Beta Sorority-Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter, Atlanta ambassador for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, National Black Arts Festival, Rialto Center for the Arts and Plan Your Meetings magazine. In March 2014, she became a certified life coach. Ms. Cook is responsible for coordinating a diverse range of cultural and educational programs in the Multicultural Center.
