
SIGNATURE EVENTS
Georgia State University offers many chances to get involved across campuses. These events listed here are our annual, signature programs that all students are encouraged to attend. Details for these events (and many more) can be found in the Panther Involvement Network (PIN).
The POUNCE Pillars are initiatives that will help you make the most of your Georgia State Experience. Throughout the year, events all across campus will fall under one of the six categories. Attend events and win prizes!

P - PROMOTE PANTHER PRIDE
Panther Welcome

A series of events welcoming new and returning students. Events include Cinema Under the Stars, Convocation, Good Day Georgia State, Pounce Down Piedmont, Student Center Open House and Involvement Fairs. More information is here.
Opening Football Game vs. U of Rhode Island
Aug. 31
Center Parc Stadium, In-PersonThe home opener football game is a can't-miss signature event. All students receive free (supported by your student fees) entry to the game using their PIN event pass. It should be downloaded and added to your phone wallet from pin.gsu.edu/eventpass. A QR code on site will allow easy access to the EventPass if it’s not already saved in the student's digital wallet. First-year students (who register online in advance) get to participate in our annual tradition of running out of the tunnel with the football team before the game starts while rocking your exclusive #FanFromDay1 t-shirt!
Georgia State Night at Six Flags Over Georgia
Join your Georgia State family at Six Flags for an exclusive Georgia State night from 6 pm. - Midnight! Parking is included in the ticket price. Free shuttles to and from the park will be provided from the Atlanta campus Student Center East. Service begins from the Student Center at 5 p.m. and will run continuously all evening with the last shuttle departing Six Flags at 1 a.m.
If you plan to park on campus and take the shuttle rather than driving directly to Six Flags, your best choice of parking would be M deck if you plan to stay at the park until midnight.

Homecoming Week

Atlanta Campus, HybridHomecoming is a chance for university alumni to return and reconnect with the current community. Homecoming Week kicks off with Good Morning Georgia State on Monday, Spirit Plaza on Tuesday, Pride Prom on Wednesday, the Parade and a Homecoming Concert on Thursday, an NPHC Step Show on Friday and culminates at the end of the week with the crowning of the Homecoming Royal Court at the homecoming football game!
