UNDERSTAND ETHICS AND INTEGRITY

Conflict Resolution
Conflict is inevitable. It is imperative that students learn the skills necessary to deal with conflict appropriately. In these workshops, students will learn about different conflict styles and methods for managing conflict as well as how to generate helpful options and communication skills.
Sexual Misconduct Training
At Georgia State, we believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to end sexual violence. The sexual misconduct training is centered around sexual misconduct prevention by helping participants to identify and address sexual misconduct, enabling intervention through bystander training, and educating participants on the general misconception of sexual misconduct and consent.
Consent Circle
The one-hour Consent Circle program focuses on prevention in sexual misconduct within the purview of consent. Students and the facilitator gather to discuss consent and address any misconceptions that students may have in the general understanding of consent. This program also provides students with information and resources for victim assistance.

Student Leadership Certificate
Interested in developing your personal leadership skills? Leadership Programs offers students the opportunity to earn a Student Leadership Certificate through program attendance, personal reflection, and individual coaching. Students participating in the program will have the opportunity to exam their individual leadership values, develop skills for working with teams, and consider how they would like to make a positive difference in their communities.

Dean of Students
The Dean of Students office provides services that assist all students in being engaged and successful members of the Georgia State University community. The services include connecting students to campus resources, facilitating students in resolving issues and complaints, highlighting the values of the university community, encouraging student involvement and addressing emergency concerns.
Leadership Programs
Leadership Programs provides a variety of programs and services to assist students in developing their leadership potential and considering how they can positively influence their individual communities. All students have leadership potential. Leadership Programs’ philosophy is based on a new way of thinking about leadership that emphasizes process over position and encourages everyone to consider how they can make a positive change in the world.
Student Civic Engagement
Through volunteerism, community service and service learning assistance, Student Civic Engagement supports community initiatives and leadership opportunities giving students, faculty and staff the ability to serve their communities. Student Civic Engagement collaborates with many Atlanta area nonprofits within the city’s diverse, community service sector, as well as campus organizations and programs providing students a variety of service opportunities.
