Exciting news! Georgia State University is rolling out a new, streamlined reservation system that will simplify the process of booking event spaces, classrooms, and other resources across all our campuses.
What's Changing?
Starting on May 12, students, faculty, and staff will be able to use a single platform to check availability and make reservations requests using their university credentials. Ad Astra and EMS will no longer be used.

This innovative system is already in use at many universities nationwide, helping to organize requests, scheduling, communication, billing, and logistics for campus events. Georgia State will implement this platform across all campuses, covering all requestable spaces.
Benefits of the New System
- Centralized Access: One-stop webpage for all reservation needs such as requests, scheduling, communication, billing, and logistics.
- Up-to-Date Reports: Real-time updates on classes and events, crucial for emergency situations and unexpected closures.
Important Dates to Remember
- Blackout Period: May 1-11, 2025. No new reservation requests can be made through EMS during this time.
- Deadline for Requests: Submit all requests by April 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
During the blackout period, you will still be able to request academic spaces by emailing the appropriate contact below, but please note there may be a delay.
