Panther Welcome Week serves as a campus-wide celebration to welcome incoming Georgia State University students. The event takes place from Monday, January 11 to Friday, January 22, 2021.
Events are both in-person and virtual, including Grab & Go Breakfasts, Ask Me Booths, Meet and Greet With the Deans sessions, and more!
Looking for class? Visit an Ask Me Booth to discover all that the Georgia State University campus has to offer. Booths are set up for the first five days of class to help students navigate campus. Ask Me Booth locations will be:
- Alpharetta – AA Building lobby
- Clarkston – CN Building lobby near café seating
- Decatur – SC Building lobby near café seating
- Dunwoody – NB Building lobby, lower level
- Newton – 1N Building, lobby near open seating
- Atlanta – lobby of Aderhold, lobby of Langdale, SC East lobby across from the Info Desk.

The Virtual On-Campus Hiring Event will occur on Tuesday, January 14 via WebEx. Students seeking an on-campus Student Assistant, Work-Study, and Graduate or Research Assistant position are encouraged to participate! Interested students can register and find more information on Handshake.
Georgia State’s largest annual volunteer event will occur on Monday, January 18 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The 35 Annual MLK Day of Service, “A Day On, Not a Day Off”, honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s service legacy. Rather than taking a day off, students can step up and serve in the community. Both virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities are available. Donuts With the Deans will be on Wednesday, January 20 at 11 a.m. This event will be a socially distanced meet and greet session or a virtual event for students to meet the Deans. Learn more by clicking here: https://pin.gsu.edu/event/6643057.
The Sweet Auburn Quest, taking place on Friday, January 22-Tuesday, January 26, is a virtual quest of the historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood. To guide their quest and confirm participation, students will be using Flipgrid. An MLK t-shirt will be awarded to the first 100 students who complete the quest.
